Sepik Symposium at the Musée du quai Branly. 27-28 October, 2015.

To mark the opening of the exhibition: Sepik. L’art au long du fleuve at the Musée du quai Branly on 26 October 2015 a symposium will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, 27 and 28 October 2015.

While the Research Department of the Musée du quai Branly is inviting the speakers, access to the Symposium is open to the public.

Curatopia: Histories, Theories, Practices - Museums and the Future of Curatorship. 6-7 July 2015. Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, Germany.

As museums continue to change in twenty first century, the ‘figure of the curator’ appears to be in flux. What is the future of curatorial practice? Is there a vision for an ideal model, a Curatopia, whether in the form of a utopia or dystopia? The symposium facilitates intense thinking through ‘the figure of the curator’ and will be open to museum professionals, other academics and students.
