The title of this exhibition pays tribute to the many different voices that are expressed through visual arts. The exhibition focuses on the voices of artists who have exhibited at the Mangere Outreach Gallery over the past two and a half years.

It is important that the voices of artists are heard, retelling in visual format the stories of the communities they live in and commenting on cultural, social, and political situations. Recent years have seen huge developments in the depth and strength of art work submitted for exhibition at Mangere Community Arts Outreach Service. Many artists have trained through tertiary institutes and are now contributing to a vibrant art industry. Others have pursued their artistic goals through constant practice and hard work as they seek to express their thoughts, dreams, and observations.

Our thanks go to the many people who have supported the visual arts at the Mangere Community Arts Outreach Service and helped these visions to be shared.
